Three on the Trot for Nicconi Sprinter

Tara Madgwick - Saturday August 12

He’s a big strong chestnut speedster by Nicconi and while he’s not exactly Nature Strip, Twin Perfection is building a nice record and posted his third successive win at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Trained by Phillip Stokes, Twin Perfection scored back to back wins at Pakenham and Sandown last month earning him 62kg for the Benchmark 70 event, but he made light of the big impost skipping away for Zac Spain to win by two and a half lengths.

It was his most impressive victory to date and took his overall record to five wins and four placings from 12 starts with prizemoney topping $150,000.

A $75,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Regal Bloodstock / Matt Cumani / Bluegrass Bloodstock, Twin Perfection is a half-brother to stakes-placed Santero and is the second winner from Miss Twin Peaks, a winning half-sister by Stravinsky (USA) to stakes-placed Tariks from the family of brilliant juvenile Catnipped.

Miss Twin Peaks is due to foal again this spring to Nicconi, who sired 130 winners last season and stands at a fee of $22,000 at Widden Victoria.
