Coolmore Acquire Star Sprinter Coolangatta

Brilliant dual Group I winning sprinter Coolangatta is back in Australia following her unsuccessful Royal Ascot campaign and will embark on a new career at stud this spring after being acquired by Coolmore.

The $3million earning daughter of Written Tycoon won five of eight starts for the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable with highlight wins in the Group I VRC Lightning Stakes, MVRC Moir Stakes and the Magic Millions 2YO Classic.

Coolangatta has been retired immediately and will be covered this spring by Champion 3YO Sprinter Home Affairs in his second season at stud.

Her dam Piping Hot is also now at Coolmore having been purchased by Tom Magnier earlier this year at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $3million and is in foal to Home Affairs sire I Am Invincible.
