First Foal for Willow Park

The foaling season has started in the Hunter Valley with Willow Park reporting the arrival of their first baby, a lovely filly sired by a Golden Slipper winner from a mare by a Golden Slipper winner, so she’s born at the right time to be an early runner!

A new arrival last night, this filly is from the second crop of Kia Ora Stud’s Golden Slipper winner Farnan and she is the first foal for imported mare Emotional Moment (GB), a winning half-sister by Sepoy to imported Group II MVRC Crystal Mile winner Chief Ironside.

The Champion 2YO by Not a Single Doubt, Farnan covered 189 mares in his second year at stud and will have his first yearlings on offer at the 2024 sales. His fee this spring remains at $55,000.
