20th 2YO Winner for Better than Ready

Tara Madgwick - Sunday July 30

Spirit of Boom might be the front runner for siring two year-old winners this season with 23 on the board, but his Queensland rival Better Than Ready is not done with yet and added a 20th winner to his tally on Sunday.

Trained by Chris Anderson, Don’t Cha Wish was a short priced favourite at the Sunshine Coast for the 1000m maiden at her second run after a short break and duly put the opposition away with ease.

Ridden by James Orman, she bolted in to win by four and a half lengths.

Don't Cha Wish was a $100,000 MM Gold Coast March purchase.

A $100,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale purchase from Telemon Thoroughbreds for  Chris Anderson Racing/Steve Morley Bloodstock/Bill Davison/Geoff Maynard, Don’t Cha Wish is the first winner for Not a Princess, a winning Not a Single Doubt mare from the family of Group I winner Bawalaksana.

Lyndhurst Stud’s Better than Ready moves to 20 Australian juvenile winners for the season joining Russian Revolution and I Am Invincible with Spirit of Boom leading the pack on 23.
