Tiz Enuf Bolts Home at Moonee Valley

Mark Smith - Saturday July 29

The fleet-footed Rich Enuff filly Tiz Enuf appeared for the first time in nineteen weeks to put a field of smart fillies to the sword in Saturday’s Opus Group Hcp (1000m) at Moonee Valley.

Ridden by Jordan Childs for Anthony and Sam Freedman, Tiz Enuf strode to the front and kicked away on the turn to defeat the Zoustar filly Zousuko by three and a quarter length with the Spirit Of Boom filly Malaboom a half-length back in third.

Tiz Enuf made a winning debut at Sale in February, encouraging connections to take a shot at the Listed Cinderella Stakes at Morphettville. She made the running there before feeling the pinch in the final 100m.

“She didn’t handle the trip to Adelaide, so we tipped her out to prepare her for the early spring,” stable representative Steve Adams said.

“She has had solid trials at Werribee and Traralgon. She needs to be fit for the style of filly she is, a jump-and-run filly. She was up to the mark, and that was a good win.

“Congratulations to Barb Saunders, who bought her as a yearling, and she is a good supporter of the team.

“We will probably go to the (Group III) Quezette (Stakes) at Caulfield next month for another attempt at stakes grade.”

Tiz Enuf a $170,000 Inglis Premier yearling

Racing Partners had the final say at $170,000 to secure the daughter of Rich Enuff from the Morningside draft at the 2022 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

She is the first foal of the Brisbane-winning I am Invincible mare Metis.

A granddaughter of the Group 1 Australasian Oaks and Group 1 South Australian Oaks heroine Our Tristalight (Sir Tristram), Meritas had an Exceedance filly that was an $80,000 purchase for Dalziel Bloodstock / Peter Moody Racing when consigned by Morningside draft at the 2023 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

Metis was covered by Stay Inside last spring.

Tiz Enuf is one of seven 2yo winners from 14 starters this season.

Rich Enuff stands at Woodside Park for a value fee of $11,000 in 2023.
