First Foal for Torryburn Stud

Torryburn Stud is the birthplace of Group I stars such as Home Affairs, Espiona and this year’s Hong Kong Derby winner Voyage Bubble and the Cornish family owned farm at East Gresford has announced the arrival of their first foal of the new season and he’s from the same family as today’s ‘One to Watch’ at Kembla.

The Autumn Sun colt from Isle of Capri.

Born earlier this morning at 11am, this colt by The Autumn Sun is from well bred winning Street Cry (IRE) mare Isle of Capri, a daughter of Group II winner Kosi Bay from the family of Group I winner Calveen and current Group and stakes-winners Thalassophile and Millane.

The family was in the news today producing a ‘One to Watch’ at Kembla with $1.35million I Am Invincible colt Andronicus opening his account at his second start. Andronicus is a half-brother to stakes-winner Millane from Group III winner Fireworks, who is a half-sister to Kosi Bay. Read about Andronicus here.

Torryburn Stud sold a yearling Toronado (IRE) filly from Isle of Capri at Inglis Classic this year for $320,000 to Bruce MacKenzie.
