First Foal for Pencarrow Stud

The foaling season has begun in New Zealand with Pencarrow Stud announcing the arrival of their first foal, a filly from 2008 NZB Filly of the Year Insouciant.

A half-sister by Keeper to Group III winner Copper Mountain, Insouciant won the Group I New Zealand Thousand Guineas and this filly by Westbuty Stud's Tarzino is her 11thfoal.

Insouciant has produced three winners from five foals to race and her unraced daughter Fallingwater is the dam of stakes-placed Aqueduct. She has an unraced two year-old Dundeel filly that sold for $200,000 as a yearling and a weanling filly also by Dundeel.
