First Win for Cascadian Brother

Tara Madgwick - Saturday July 22

A triple Group I winner in Australia of over $8million in prizemoney, Cascadian is a very popular member of the Australian Godolphin stable and his three year-old full brother Isle of Jura opened his winning account in the UK overnight, but not for Godolphin.

Isle of Jura had one unplaced run last year in the Godolphin blue for Charlie Appleby and was then gelded and offered in the Tattersalls March Mixed Sale earlier this year where he was bought by JS Bloodstock / George Scott Racing for 150,000 pounds.

The son of New Approach was seventh and then fourth at his first two runs for new trainer George Scott and then broke through for an impressive win when stepped up to 1m at Newbury.

Isle of Jura is the sixth winner from six foals to race from Group III winning Street Cry mare Falls of Lora, who is also the dam of Group I winner Albarh in addition to Cascadian.

If Isle of Jura is anything like his brother he’s just going to get better and better!
