Flying Concello broke her maiden at her second start at Bendigo last month and took another step forward to win this 1300m fillies contest by a head under Damien Oliver over the late closing first starter Ahuriri (NZ), a Chris Waller trained daughter of Almanzor (Fr).

Retained to race by her breeders, Flying Concello is the first winner for winning Lonhro mare Little Gypsy, a half-sister to Group I placed Roma Giaconda from the family of Group I winner Leica Smile and Group II winner Moon Dragon.

The yearling full brother to Flying Concello sold for $200,000 in the Newhaven Park draft at Magic Millions this year top Danny O’Brien Racing.
