Another Exciting Winner for Aussie Bred Sea Siren

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday July 18

Australian bred triple Group I winning Fastnet Rock mare Sea Siren was making international news last month when her classy three year-old Galileo filly Warm Heart won the Group II Royal Ascot Ribblesdale and overnight in Ireland that filly’s younger full brother opened his account with an impressive maiden win.

Trained by Donnacha O’Brien for the Coolmore partners, Bremen was a close second on debut at the start of the month at Tipperary and improved at the second time of asking to power clear and win the 1m maiden at Killarney by a length and three-quarters.

“Bremen showed a real nice turn of foot at Tipperary to quicken off a slow pace from out the back and coming here today we knew we had a good horse. He's a horse whose only going to do enough, he's got a real genuine side to him. It's a lovely track for horses going to need a trip next year,” said winning rider Gavin Ryan.

The last foal of Sea Siren born in Ireland, Bremen holds entries for upcoming Group races and is seen as a Classic prospect for the longer distances next year and his full sister Warm Heart is likely to run in the Group I Irish Oaks on Saturday.

Bremen is a brother to Warm Heart and also Group III placed Celestial Object being the fourth winner from five foals to race from Sea Siren, all of them by Galileo.

Sea Siren is back at Coolmore Australia.

After starting her stud career in Ireland for Coolmore, Sea Siren was returned to Australia last year and produced a colt by Camelot last spring and is due to foal to Home Affairs.

The Hypothetical mating for Home Affairs over Sea Siren looks like this.
