Seabrook Colt Sells for $420,000 at JRHA Sale

The first foal of Group I ATC Champagne Stakes winner Seabrook, a colt by former Arrowfield Stud shuttler Real Steel (JPN), was purchased by Kazutaka Hosaka for 40,000,000 yen (A420,000) at Monday’s yearling session of the JHRA Select Sale.

An $85,000 Inglis Premier Yearling purchase for Blueblood Thoroughbreds,  Seabrook banked $853,840 before being sold to Japan in a private transaction.

Besides her Group 1 ATC Champagne Stakes triumph, Seabrook captured the Group II Sweet Embrace Stakes.

The daughter of Hinchinbrook descends from the prolific Tennessee family, which has produced the Group 1 performers Aloha, Libertini and Hawaii Five Oh in recent times.
