Trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, The Instructor won his debut at Pakenham in January and followed up to win the Listed MRC Blue Diamond Preview before finishing a close up eighth in the Blue Diamond beaten two and a half lengths by Little Brose.

He jumped well and raced on the pace throughout albeit travelling well off the fence and won pulling away by more than a length with ears pricked and will be primed for the early spring Black Type races.

A $230,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling purchase from Lyndhurst Farm for First Light Racing/Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing, The Instructor is the best of three winners from Denman mare Right of Way, who traces back to a US Black Type family.

The Annabel Neasham trained So You Think filly Éclair showed good improvement at her third trial with the addition of blinkers. In contrast to her previous two trials, this time she was sent forward by Regan Bayliss and made to race winning by half a length over the well seasoned Steffi Magnetica.

A $1

40,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Segenhoe draft for Annabel Neasham Racing / B McGuire / Best Bloodstock, Éclair is a half-sister to a winner from stakes-placed Hinchinbrook mare Brulee, a sibling to Group III winner Serene Majesty and stakes-winner Curdled.

Eclair was a $140,000 Inglis Premier purchase from Segenhoe Stud.
