Swettenham Stud are delighted to announce the appointment of Adam McLaughlin as the new Stud Manager at their Nagambie property, commencing 10th July 2023.

Adam brings extensive international expertise in the thoroughbred industry, having gained valuable experience at renowned establishments such as Coolmore Ireland, Coolmore Australia, Swettenham Stud and Shadwell Stud.

Adam McLaughlin is the new Stud Manager at Swettenham.

His journey in the racing world began with a passion for educating ponies on weekends, which propelled him to join John Jenkins Racing in the UK. Under the mentorship of Olly & Hetta Stevens at Robins Farm, Adam honed his skills and advanced further. His dedication and talent led him to William Haggas' Somerville Lodge, where he contributed his knowledge before assuming the responsibility of overseeing the main rehabilitation yards at the esteemed Shadwell Estate.

Driven by a desire to broaden his horizons, Adam embarked on a transformative experience, shuttling between Coolmore Stud's bases in Ireland and Australia for multiple seasons. This opportunity not only enriched his expertise but also provided invaluable breeding shed experience. At Coolmore and Swettenham Stud, Adam exhibited exceptional management skills, overseeing multiple barns and ensuring the utmost care and standards for all bloodstock.

With over 10 years in the thoroughbred industry, Adam McLaughlin arrives at Swettenham Stud equipped with a well-rounded understanding of every aspect of the business. His passion for the thoroughbred is matched only by his comprehensive knowledge, making him an invaluable asset to the team.
