Arrowfield Unreserved Weanling Sale Live on Bloodstockauction

Arrowfield Stud have again entrusted Bloodstockauction.com with their latest reduction of quality weanlings with 17 youngsters offered unreserved by a variety of their popular young sires.

Arrowfield have had pleasing results on this platform with past sales on Bloodstockauction producing smart Maurice gelding Narito, who is showing good promise in the Chris Waller stable with two wins, two placings and over $80,000 in prizemoney.

17 weanlings have been catalogued including three by proven Group I sire Maurice (Jpn), who stands at a fee of $82,500, as well as youngsters by Castlevecchio, Pariah, Showtime and one from the first crop of Champion Japanese 2YO Colt Admire Mars (Jpn).

Lot 30 Filly Castelvecchio x Bechuille, by Snitzel

From the second crop of dual G1 winner Castelvecchio, whose yearlings have sold for up to $360,000 this year. Half-sister to a winner and is fourth foal of a full sister to Group I winner Sweet Idea and Group II winner Showtime.

Lot 31 Colt Showtime x Besame Mucho, by Encosta de Lago

By promising sire Showtime, already the sire of a SW Show Royale from his first crop of 2YO’s. Half-brother to stakes-winners Essington, Frespanol and stakes-placed Mr Aldan from top producing Group III winner Besame Mucho, who has left eight winners from nine foals to race.

Three-quarter brother to multiple winner and stakes-placed Azaly from In The Clear, an unraced daughter of Group I winner Clean Sweep from a big international Black type family. Bred on similar Dundeel x Redoute’s Choice cross to Group I Caulfield Guineas winner Super Seth.

Lot 38 Colt Castelvecchio x Glare Channel (Jpn), by Zenno Rob Roy

Half-brother to two winners including promising 3YO Heika(3g Maurice), who has a win and a second from three starts for Paul Messara. He is from a half-sister to Japanese stakes-winners Dream Passport, Frontier and Round World from the family of Group I winner and sire Stay Gold.

Lot 41 Filly Maurice (Jpn) x Lustrous by Flying Spur

Sister to two time winner I Love Lucy and is from an unraced half-sister to stakes-placed Silk Pins and to the dam of Group winners Gypsy Diamond and Finance Tycoon with this season’s promising metro juvenile winner Café Millennium also in the family. Bred on the same Maurice x Flying Spur cross as Group I winner Mazu.

Lot 44 Colt Maurice (Jpn) x Sammy’s Girl, by More Than Ready (USA)

Half-brother to two metro winners from a winning half-sister to Group II winner Miss Fabulass from Champion 3YO Filly and triple Group I winner Samantha Miss. First three dams are by champion sires More Than Ready, Redoute’s Choice and Zabeel.
