Daisies (Sebring) and Literary Magnate (Written Tycoon) have become household names at recent Melbourne Spring Carnivals especially.

The 4YO mare Daisies is a three-time Group winner of over $550,000 in earnings.

Twelve of Daisies’ 15 starts have been in Group company - she was a dual Group winner at three as well as a G2 winner at four of the Stocks Stakes (1600m).

Her dam Tigress Lily is the dam of five winners from five runners including this season’s G1 Golden Rose placegetter Zou Tiger and the Stakes placed 2YO Motown Lil.

Daisies is out of a mare by Snitzel, who is in turn out of a G1 placed daughter of Zabeel and triple G1-winning Champion filly Tycoon Lil.

Literary Magnate, also a 4YO mare, is another with high-class form in Melbourne, demonstrating brilliant speed across three seasons of racing.

A fast, precocious 2YO, she was a dominant 3.3 length winner over 1100m on debut before finishing 2nd in the $1m The Showdown at her second start.

Her Spring 3YO form saw her competitive with many of the best fillies in the land, including when finishing 4th in Yearning’s G1 Thousand Guineas, before progressing further at four to win the G3 Northwood Plume Stakes.

In that 1200m G3 contest at Caulfield, she defeated the likes of Zapateo, Another Award, Seradess, Chassis, Written Beauty and Turaath amongst others.

She is a further three-times Stakes placed and has the ideal profile for a commercial broodmare in Australia.

Both Daisies and Literary Magnate are being offered by Sheamus Mills Bloodstock and owners.

“It’s a real privilege to be able to offer two such high-class breeding propositions through Inglis Digital,’’ Mills said.

“Both mares are lightly raced, have competed at Stakes level for the majority of their careers and both were very good looking yearlings from good farms that have certainly gone the right way physically through their careers.

“Both their families are very active up close in the pedigree, both mares have plenty of size and scope about them and both have the sort of action that is so hard to find.’’

Daisies and Literary Magnate are available for inspection by appointment at Leneva Park in Victoria.

The catalogue for the Inglis Digital June (Late) Sale will be finalised tomorrow.

Among a bevy of mouth-watering broodmares in the sale are two proven producers with recent significant additions to their burgeoning success.

The first foal to race in Australia out of More Aspen (More Than Ready) is King Colorado, winner of the G1 JJ Atkins at Eagle Farm just 12 days ago.

The US-bred More Aspen is a Listed winner and G2 placed, while her third dam is the incredible mare Fall Aspen, from whom 69 Stakes winners are descendant, including the great Dubai Millennium, sire of champion sire Dubawi.

No Looking Back (Redoute’s Choice) is a G1 placed 2YO and dam of last start G2 winner Comrade Rosa, who will look to further upgrade her pedigree when she contests Saturday’s G1 Tatt’s Tiara at Eagle Farm, for which she is amongst the leading chances.

Redoute’s Choice is a stunning broodmare sire of over 145 Stakes winners including the likes of Anamoe, Sacred Falls, Arcadia Queen, Hitotsu etc.

The 13YO No Looking Back is offered in foal to exciting young stallion Written By, one of the leading first season sires who has already produced two Stakes winners headlined by G3-winning 2YO The Novelist.

Another confirmed entrant of the highest order is Silent Sovereign, a G2 winner and multiple black type victor.

Silent Sovereign is by Dalakhani, the broodmare sire of G1 winners Pinatubo, Meditate and Australian G2 winner Greysful Glamour.

The June (Late) catalogue will be open for bidding from 3pm tomorrow, Friday June 23.

The final countdown of bidding will begin at 10am Wednesday.
