A brilliant winner of the recent JJ Atkins Stakes at Eagle Farm, King Colorado emerged as one of the country's newest rising stars when the son of Kingman beat a quality field.

Prepared by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, King Colorado relished the step to a mile in the Atkins, capturing the final juvenile Group One of the season after winning a Kembla Grange maiden at his previous outing.

The untapped homebred colt has been spelled with connections set to aim for the riches of the Melbourne or Sydney Spring Carnivals.

King Colorado is the first runner to date for the Meydan stakes winning More Than Ready mare More Aspen - a grandaughter of Group One winner Northern Aspen (ex Fall Aspen).

More Aspen's latest yearling, a chestnut colt by Dubai Honour and Bella Nipotina's sire Pride of Dubai, is heading to Sunday's Perth Winter Yearling Sale as a supplementary entry in the Willow Dale Farm draft.

"It's exciting to have a colt with such a pedigree joining Sunday's sale," Magic Millions WA Manager David Houston reported. "The decision to enter the colt was only made in recent days and while the colt won't have had the preparation of others, he is sure to attract strong interest."

"Rarely do you get an opportunity to buy a half brother to such an exciting current two-year-old Group One winner and his presence in the auction will create significant interest," Houston added.

Meanwhile, city winning three-year-old filly Unilook is a late supplementary entry for the broodmare section to be offered later on Sunday.

From just two starts for trainer Justine Erkelens, Unilook was a winner at Belmont at her most recent start in November over 1400 metres.

The daughter of Universal Ruler is from the seven time winner Urlay Nook - a sister to stakes winners Full Reign and Impact Rating and three quarter sister to Exquisite Timing.

Sunday's selling action will commence at 12 noon with the 65 lot Perth Winter Yearling Sale, before attention switches to the Perth Winter Thoroughbred Sale featuring race fillies, broodmares and weanlings.
