Two year-old filly Poifect made the perfect start to her career when powering home to win the 1235m maiden by a length and a half.

Winning rider Daniel Stackhouse was well pleased with the filly.

“She’s an impressive filly, she keeps learning all the time when she does something and she’s done a very nice job today,” he said.

“It felt like she had a lot more to offer. I think she can really go on with it and with time might get a bit further. She has a bit of class about her.”

Poifect was a $200,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Coolmore draft for Lindsay Park Racing and is the third winner from winning Flying Spur mare Without Exception, a sibling to Group III winner Krupt and stakes-winner Anevay tracing back to legendary matriarch Fanfreluche via the Grand Luxe branch of the family.

Without Exception had a filly last year by So You Think and is in foal to Acrobat.
