Nine Winners for Brave Smash!

Tara Madgwick - Saturday May 27

New to Yarraman Park this spring, Brave Smash (Jpn) added a ninth first crop winner to his tally at Murray Bridge on Saturday with Kalasec scoring a well deserved win.

Placed at three of his four previous runs, the Richard and Chantelle Jolly trained gelding put his race experience to good use when doing everything right to win the 1000m scamper by a length.

A $120,000 Magic Millions purchase for her trainers from the Valiant Stud draft, Kalasec is the second winner for Occitan, a winning Street Cry (IRE) daughter of stakes-placed Segolene, a full sister to stakes-winner Quidnunc.

A brilliantly fast Japanese bred sprinter miler that won two Group I races in Australia, Brave Smash has made a great impression with his first runners.

His nine winners so far have him on top of the first season sires by winners list and they include stakes-winner Brave Mead and Group placed fillies Kimochi and Brave Strike.

Brave Smash

Brave Smash has covered 403 mares in his first four seasons and will get a big opportunity to build on his success this spring at a fee of $33,000.
