Telemon Thoroughbreds Announce Fees

Media Release - Monday May 15

Telemon Stud have announced their 2023 service fees headlined by a resurgent Golden Slipper Sire in SIDESTEP at $8,800.

Telemon principal Dan Fletcher said, “SIDESTEP represents terrific value and remains vastly underrated, especially considering he is one of a select group of stallions with a proven ability to throw 2YOs”.

Sidestep

This season SIDESTEP already has 5 Australasian 2yo winners including Gr.2 Blue Diamond Prelude runner up Party For Two and Nth Queensland flying machine Roweiner’s Dance who has accumulated a remarkable six wins, the latest of which smashed an open track record that has stood for 24 years at Townsville’s Cluden Park.

Joining SIDESTEP at the head of Telemon’s 2023 roster is dual Gr.1 winning sprinter JUNGLE CAT, also positioned at $8,800.

Jungle Cat

Fletcher commented “JUNGLE CAT’S first runners in Australia will continue to emerge over the next six months. Jack Bruce debuted a filly we hold in high regard named Boating yesterday and she went super so we have a lot to look forward to from them as well as a larger, higher quality group of 2YOs that will be racing age by the end of the year”.

“The King of QTIS”, THE ODYSSEY has his first foals arriving this Spring and stands at an unchanged fee of $5,500. Fletcher remarked “He is an extremely good looking, durable, early maturing horse with an exceptional temperament. His sire Better Than Ready has really forced his way onto the national stage over the past season and The Odyssey being his first and best prospect at stud is really exciting”.

Returning for his 4th season off the back of an exceptional crop of first foals in 2021 is the young Adonis, SUN CITY who is positioned at a value fee of $4,400. “We expect this horse to generate a lot of interest” Fletcher said. “We expect his stock to be very precocious and it’s a great sign we are already getting strong support for him off the back of breaker reports”. Telemon believe SUN CITY, Zoustar’s most precocious son has an excellent profile to produce early running 2YOs.
