Paris Dior Leads First National Sale Supplementaries

Breednet - Tuesday May 9
Former explosive juvenile Paris Dior is the headline act of the first release of supplementary lots for this month's Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale at the Gold Coast.
The Group Two winning juvenile, now just three, is one of 11 new stakes performers among 28 new supplementary lots for the National Broodmare Sale.
Paris Dior
Also revealed today are four more exciting prospects for the National Weanling Sale.
Paris Dior was bred and raced by Steve Wilde and Bill Hilton and during a short career she gave both owners plenty of thrills.
"She really looks outstanding," Wilde reported. "We look forward to offering her at the Gold Coast in a couple of weeks time through the draft of Yarraman Park Stud."
Paris Dior displayed ability from day one of her early education.
"Right from the start with the breakers and as soon as she joined the Snowdens she showed she was a special filly."
"Obviously the stable had a great bunch of juveniles and Peter and Paul both rated her very highly."
"She was desperately unlucky at her first run when she was charging home. And then her next run she put them to the sword for an easy win."
"That day James McDonald got off her and said she was a serious filly and he wanted to keep the ride."
"She then ran second in the Millennium after copping a few checks and finishing off strongly before she won the (Group Two) Percy Sykes Stakes in great style on track conditions she didn't like." Wilde added.
During her nine start career Paris Dior raced against Sydney's best two and three-year-olds prior to suffering an injury at her final start at Moonee Valley.
"The advice from vets was to retire her and let her become a mum. She proved on the track she possessed incredible ability."
"She is just the first foal of her dam Entrancing who we raced. Paris Dior's sister Queen of Dragons has shown plenty and was just a length off Militarize at her run before a break."
"Queen of Dragons is due to run in the (Listed) Woodlands Stakes at Scone on Saturday and you'd think she'd be close to favourite."
Wilde also pointed out that Entrancing was currently in foal to Pierro and would deliver a full relation to Paris Dior and Queen of Dragons this spring.
Paris Dior is just one of 11 new black type performers supplemented to the National Broodmare Sale among 28 new lots. Other highlight lots include:
• Xtravagant Lass - Restricted Listed winner as a juvenile.
• Zoe's Promise - Group Two winner of the Moonee Valley Fillies Classic.
