Mare in Foal to Home Affairs Sells for $800,000

Tara Madgwick - Thursday May 4

The first mares in foal to I Am Invincible’s champion son Home Affairs were offered at the Inglis Chairman’s Sale and proved much in demand with Tell Your Mama (USA) providing the best result when selling for $800,000.

She was offered by Lime Country Thoroughbreds, who sold her yearling Snitzel filly for $650,000 at Inglis Easter this year and was bought by TFI.

Tell Your Mama (USA) made $800,000 in foal to Home Affairs.

Tell Your Mama is a winning daughter of Group I Breeders Cup Classic winning sire Blame and comes from the same female family as Home Affairs and also Group I winning sire Russian Revolution.

“It’s an educated market and they know Blame is one of the best broodmare sires in the world,” Jo Griffin of Lime Country told Jemma Cutting of Inglis.

“We sold a lovely filly from her at Inglis Easter for 650k and I think this mare is great value for the buyer.”

Home Affairs was the busiest first season sire in 2022 and also the most expensive, so he covered an exceptional book of mares.

Other sales of mares in foal to Home Affairs included:
