Holbrook Mares a Chairman’s Drawcard

Holbrook Thoroughbreds topped the 2021 Ingis Chairman’s Sale selling Group I winning mare Celebrity Queen on behalf of Bob And Sandra Peters for $2.5million and their select draft of five for this year’s sale features two more G1 winning mares that raced in the famed cerise and white.

Lot 16 is brilliantly fast Nicconi mare Graceful Girl, whose last to first win in the Group I WATC Winterbottom Stakes win had to be seen to be believed!

Graceful Girl is one of three Group winners from exceptional producing Group II winner Avenida Madero, the dam of nine foals to race all winners.

With an outcross Black Type pedigree, completely free of Danehill blood, Graceful Girl is going to be an outstanding acquisition suited to visit any champion sire in the country.

Lot 103 is Inspirational Girl (NZ), an outstanding miler by Reliable Man (GB) that won 10 races and $1.5million with the Group I WATC Railway Stakes the icing on the cake, but she proved her real G1 merit beating Zaaki (GB) and Mr Brightside to win the Group II VRC Blamey Stakes at WFA.

A half-sister to stakes-winner Ruettiger from a prolific Black Type family, Inspirational Girl is also free of Danehill blood opening the door to all commercial options.

Lot 97 is stakes-winning More Than Ready (USA) mare Celebrity Miss, the dam of Group I MRC Oakleigh Plate winner Celebrity Queen, who topped the 2021 Chairman’s Sale when bought by Tom Magnier for $2.5million. Celebrity Queen produced a colt by Wootton Bassett last spring and will foal this year to Pierro.

2022 So You Think colt from Celebrity Miss.

Celebrity Miss had a colt last spring by So You Think, but was not covered after that so is empty and can be prepared for an early service to the sire of your choice.

Rounding out the draft are two more stakes performed mares.

Lot 96 is stakes-placed I Am Invincible mare Capriccio, a daughter of Group II winner Lonhspresso. She is offered in foal to Zoustar in her first season at stud.

Lot 51, Pure Devotion, click to see her page.

Lot 51 is multiple Group placed So You Think mare Pure Devotion, a full sister to stakes-placed Fine Romance. Pure Devotion was third in the Group II WATC Perth Cup at her most recent start and is offered as a racing and breeding proposition.
