More Stakes Success for I’mLovin’ya

Tara Madgwick - Saturday April 22

A homebred for United Syndications, speedy Capitalist filly I’mlovin’ya won the Listed VRC Talindert Stakes (1100m) at two and resumed from a spell to claim her second Black Type victory in the Listed SAJC Redelva Stakes.

Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr, I’mLovin’Ya made amends for a disappointing spring campaign when scoring a dominant length and three quarter length win over quality filly Seven Veils suggesting better things are in store.

Mick Price was thrilled to see I’mLovin’Ya back to her best and hopes she can hold that form for the Group I SAJC Robert Sangster Stakes in two weeks time.

“I wish today was two weeks away,” Price said.

“She goes well fresh and in two weeks’ time there’s the Sangster and I’ve got to get her home and back. We usually have a go at these races. I’ll have to tippy toe around her, but it’s still good to get another black-type win with her.”

I’mLovin’Ya has the overall record of two wins and two placings from seven starts with prizemoney just shy of $200,000.

I’mlovin’ya is a half-sister to Group III winner Immortal Love and is the fourth winner from four to race from stakes-winning Bel Esprit mare Loveyamadly, a sibling to Lite’n in my Veins, Written Beauty and Hi World.

Loveyamadly has a yearling filly by So You Think, a weanling filly by King’s Legacy and had a big upgrade last spring when being covered by I Am Invincible.

I’mLovin’ya is the fifth stakes-winner this season for Capitalist, who stands at Newgate at a fee of $77,000 this spring.
