Yarraman Park Increase Fees

Tara Madgwick - Friday April 21

Yarraman Park have announced service fees for 2023 with Australia’s reigning champion sire I Am Invincible priced at $275,000 plus GST.

I Am Invincible will stand at a fee of $302,500.

I Am Invincible was champion Australian sire last year by earnings and winners and is on track to repeat the performance with $18.5million in earnings and 19 Australian stakes-winners headed by Group I winners In Secret and Imperatriz.

In the sale ring he has been just as dominant with 17 individual yearlings selling for $1million or more and three selling for $2million or more headed by the $2.7million colt from Anaheed that topped Magic Millions and is the most expensive yearling sold in Australia in 2023.

“Obviously, I Am Invincible needs no introduction, he’s the dominant sire in Australia on the track and in the sale ring. He’s had an amazing 21 stakes winners and 39 stakes performers, including the outstanding New Zealand mare Imperatriz and obviously Godolphin’s brilliant sprinting filly In Secret,” said Arthur Mitchell.

“He’s been an incredible stallion in the sales ring once again, having had 17 yearlings make $1 million or more which is quite outstanding and he has comfortably topped the averages at all three major sales.”

His fee climbs to $302,500 inc. GST.

Hellbent rises to $38,500.

I Am Invincible’s Group I winning son Hellbent continues to produce a quality stream of winners headed by Group winning fillies Kristilli and Magic Time and has also been priced up from $22,000 to $38,500 inc GST.

“We couldn’t be more delighted with how Hellbent is progressing in his stud career. We have always had great faith in him and he has always had great support from us, our clients and our shareholders. To have such exciting horses like Magic Time, Kristilli and Benedetta, among others, I think it just confirms what we’ve been thinking,” commented Harry Mitchell.

“They are lovely athletic, clean-winded horses and he’s really starting to progress to a really high level. We have some weanlings on the farm and they are as good as the Vinnies, he can just throw the most cracking types. We’re so proud of him and I think he is going to be a major influence in the years to come.”

Brave Smash (Jpn) rises to $33,000.

New addition Brave Smash (Jpn) has had his fee set at $33,000 inc GST.

“We had our eye on Brave Smash for a while because we really liked his foals and he has started incredibly well. He’s got Brave Halo, who was unbeaten in Perth and then a bit unlucky in the Blue Diamond, Brave Mead and Kimochi,” said Harry.

“When you see him he looks like an Australian sprinter, he’s the only fast Japanese horse in Australia. He’s not a big horse and he’s beautifully balanced, with a lovely hind-quarter. We are excited for him to be standing at Yarraman.

“I think the horse has got so much upside and he really compliments our broodmare band and he’s a total out-cross for any of the Northern Dancer horses and a lot of the I Am Invincible mares we have coming through. He's perfect for us and we can’t wait to get him started here at Yarraman.”
