Racenet tip sheet - Cessnock, Tuesday August 01

Breednet - Tuesday August 1

This is the Racenet preview and tip sheet for Tuesday’s meeting at Cessnock.

The track is rated a good (4) interim 1/8 - 7.30am and the rail is in the 3m 1000m to 300m, true remainder position.

Racenet’s summaries and tips for the meeting are.

Race 1 summary - Staying race to start the day. MAGENTAZ has had a month since his last run but should be one of the hardest to beat here. ULTIMATE DECISION steadily improved with racing and gets his chance to threaten in this even race. MOMENT TO TEST has the blinkers back on for this and will roll forward and be in this for a long way. POWER FROM WITHIN was sound over this course last time and rates an each-way chance.
Race 1 tips - 1st: MAGENTAZ (1), 2nd: ULTIMATE DECISION (4), 3rd: MOMENT TO TEST (2), 4th: POWER FROM WITHIN (9).

Race 2 summary - LEVINE raced wide and fought on well on debut over the 900m and should get every chance with an in-form Chad Lever aboard. PRINCESS LOTTIE resumes for a new stable here but there was a lot to like about her previous campaign and her trial was solid. SUNDAY SPECIAL's latest trial was much better and she'll also be competitive in this. Market watch on the Gary Nickson-trained first starter MANDALONG ABJENNIE.
Race 2 tips - 1st: LEVINE (1), 2nd: PRINCESS LOTTIE (10), 3rd: SUNDAY SPECIAL (11), 4th: MANDALONG ABJENNIE (9).

Race 3 summary - This race sets up well for GAI'S QUEST after her solid first-up effort here, which followed two good trials. The 1350m should be good for her and she's a great chance of breaking through. JAXIM has been close-up at both runs back from a break and should be fit enough to challenge the top pick now. CHEKKAPEN is on debut but rates an each-way chance in a thin race after his reasonable trial. MOKIN is a place chance after a reasonable debut effort.
Race 3 tips - 1st: GAI'S QUEST (6), 2nd: JAXIM (3), 3rd: CHEKKAPEN (1), 4th: MOKIN (4).

Race 4 summary - Tricky little race despite the smallest field of the day being engaged here. EASTERN PARADISE was fairly good when resuming but the step to 1350m here will suit him perfectly here and he's a good chance despite having a month since his last run. Forget ANNANDALE LASS went to town last start and consider her a winning chance on her success at Tamworth two runs back. DEANGELO doesn't win many but is racing well enough to be an each-way chance again. LITTLE RED SHOES is ready to step into this distance range after three runs back from a year off the scene and should perform well. CLUNES ROCKET is a place chance first-up.
Race 4 tips - 1st: EASTERN PARADISE (3), 2nd: ANNANDALE LASS (1), 3rd: DEANGELO (5), 4th: LITTLE RED SHOES (4).

Race 5 summary - Competitive race with a touch of depth to it at this level. Happy to keep backing ATLANTIC EDGE to maintain her winning run after winning a similar race to this last time out and it's wise to stick with mares in form. MACARTHUR chased well on this track last start and can be around the mark again from the inside gate. SHEILARIZED is much better suited here than her previous assignment and can improve with extra fitness. SILENT DREAM jumps in grade after a soft win in BM55 level but can measure up to this with a good run. SENSACOVA was a good maiden winner that is worth thought here while THE GETAWAY is back in class over a shorter trip than last time out.
Race 5 tips - 1st: ATLANTIC EDGE (6), 2nd: MACARTHUR (3), 3rd: SHEILARIZED (1), 4th: SILENT DREAM (7).

Race 6 summary - Happy to play around two main chances here with GINGERSNAP the top pick back at this level after struggling at the Sunshine Coast last time out. KENDALMAN was a touch unlucky not to score at Taree but might be looking for this distance now and looks a good each-way play. They look to have an advantage over the others with SHALAMA and IRONHEART good place chances. Check the betting on CELTIC DIAMOND for a sign of confidence in a good first-up performance.
Race 6 tips - 1st: GINGERSNAP (1), 2nd: KENDALMAN (5), 3rd: SHALAMA (2), 4th: IRONHEART (3).

Race 7 summary - Interesting finish to the Cessnock meeting but going with AZZIE'S READY to notch a second straight win here after a strong win over this trip at Scone last time. ATUM resumes here and has plenty of ability so expect him to challenge the top pick at some stage. KAMEHAMEHA was good on this track last time out and dropping back to the 900m should pose no problem for him. MISS GIGI chased well when resuming at Newcastle and should be improved for this assignment with the blinkers off. MISS BUNNY HOP hasn't been far away at both runs this time in and has a good third-up record.
Race 7 tips - 1st: AZZIE'S READY (2), 2nd: ATUM (1), 3rd: KAMEHAMEHA (3), 4th: MISS GIGI (8).
