One to Watch – Kembla

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday March 28

A blue-blood Savabeel that wins his third start as a short priced favourite is always going to be a horse we look at a little bit more closely.

Trained by John O’Shea, three year-old gelding Allhallowtide was fourth and second at his first two starts and produced a tenacious effort when stepped up to a mile to score by a head in the final strides.

Allhallowtide is the latest success story for breeder-owners Waikato Stud and Rosemont Stud.

The trans-Tasman partnership previously enjoyed Group III victories with the three-year-old’s former stablemates and half-sisters All Saints’ Eve and All Hallows’ Eve, daughters of Sacred Falls.

Allhallowtide is also a full brother to Group I NZ Thousand Guineas winner Hasahalo and Group III winner Hasabro and is the eighth winner f rom 10 foals to race from blue hen Halloween, a half-sister to the dam of two more Group winners by Savabeel in Savvy Nature and Addictive Nature.

Savabeel

Given the depth of pedigree it’s hard not to think Allhallowtide won’t be winning more races!
