$270,000 Sebonack Tops Inglis Digital

Media Release - Thursday March 23

Sale-topper Sebonack was one of seven horses to realise $100,000 or more in another successful Inglis Digital Online Auction, which ended this evening.

The talented Hawkes Racing-trained 3YO – a Stakes winner on debut at two 12 months ago – sold to Simon Vivian Bloodstock for $270,000 in the March (Late) Sale.

Sebonack topped the Inglis Digital Sale at $270,000 and will race on for Team Hawkes.

Vivian was acting on behalf of part owner Rupert Legh, who purchased the horse which was offered to dissolve the existing ownership group.

“The horse will remain with the Hawkes’, I was bidding on the immediate direction of Rupert who is confident Sebonack has plenty more to give and wanted to retain ownership,” Vivian said.

“Inglis Digital is just such an unbelievable platform, it’s so easy to use and brilliant for someone like me to work with clients on.

“Everyone is delighted with the outcome today, it was smooth and easy for everyone, it’s just so transparent.’’

The second-top lot was international G1-winning mare Stormy Lucy – offered in foal to in-demand stallion Maurice – who sold to Yulong for $195,000.

Stormy Lucy was offered by Arrowfield, whose bloodstock manager Jon Freyer was pleased with the outcome.

“She’s a lovely mare who was sold to dissolve a partnership and we wish Yulong very well with her,’’ Freyer said.

“I’m sure she’ll leave a good foal and Maurice had another G2 winner last weekend with Bank Maur, who will go around again on Saturday in the G1 Australian Cup.

“The sale process was all very sound, Arrowfield are strong advocates of the online process, we supported Inglis Digital heavily last year and will continue to do so.’’

The third-top lot was the Billy Healey Racing-offered unraced 3YO Boom Torque, who sold to Ian Corazzol for $180,000.

“The horse has showed some good promise in a couple of early trials and just had a few setbacks so is yet to officially race but I’ve got plenty of confidence that he’s got a lot to give once we do get him to the races,” Corazzol said.

“He’s in full work now and will be trained by Kasey Fogden moving forward.

“I’m only relatively new to Inglis Digital but I was recommended the platform by a friend and have dealt with [Inglis Digital Finance Manager] Jason Ngo and he has been exceptionally helpful, I can’t speak highly enough of him and the whole process dealing with Inglis Digital.’’

Kooringal Stud also enjoyed a productive sale, selling all 14 yearlings they offered.

The March (Late) Sale was again a huge success, grossing $3,310,588.

Entries are now open for the Inglis Digital April (Early) Sale, which will run from March 31-April 5.

Entries close at midnight on Wednesday March 29.
