Stakes Win for Troublesome She’s All Class

Tara Madgwick - Saturday March 18

It’s been a long time coming, but talented I Am Invincible mare She’s All Class finally landed her second Black Type victory when taking out the $175,000 Listed MVRC Abell Stakes (1200m) at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

Now with Ciaron Maher and David Eustace after starting her career in Sydney with Chris Waller, She’s All Class has been a problem child since winning the Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic RL at her second start.

She subsequently finished third in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic behind Shaquero, but failed to hold any sort of consistent form after that and had not won a race since until today.

Resuming from a spell, she finished off full of running to win by a neck for Harry Coffey.

Assistant trainer Jack Turnbull said She's All Class can be cantankerous at home and is not an easy mare to train, but they seem to have found the key to her.

"She's moody at times and she is hard to manage, but today was her day," Turnbull said.

"I think we'll keep her to six (furlongs) for now. Lucy, Dave and Ciaron (Maher) down on the Peninsula have got her sorted out in terms of keeping her fresh.

"She doesn't gallop a lot and she seems to respond well."

She's All Class was a $200,000 Magic Millions purchase.

A $200,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Brae Sokolski, She’s All Class has two wins and six placings from 16 starts with prizemoney topping $550,000.

She was bred by Gall Bloodstock and is the best of six winners from Shirra Nui, an unraced half-sister by Viscount to stakes-winner Khemosabi from South African Group III winner Geordoba (SAfr)

She’s All Class is the17th Australian stakes-winner this season for I Am Invincible, whose talented son King’s Gambit rattled home for third in the $5million Group I ATC Golden Slipper.
