Golden Slipper Field and Barrier Draw

The field and barrier draw for the $5million Golden Slipper at Rosehill on Saturday are out with race favourites Cylinder and Learning to Fly drawing next to each other in gates three and four and three first season sires represented in the world’s richest race for juvenile.

Group I MRC Blue Diamond winner Little Brose is next to the top two in gate five, while last Saturday’s impressive Group III ATC Magic Night Stakes winner Steel City has drawn out in gate 15.

Three first season sires have runners this year with Justify (USA) the sire of undefeated filly Learning to Fly, Harry Angel (IRE) the sire of Blue Diamond place-getter Arkansaw Kid and Trapeze Artist represented by the talented maiden Facile .

Champion sires Exceed and Excel, Snitzel and I Am Invincible all have multiple runners and Exceed and Excel is also sire of the dams of Arkansaw Kid and Exploring.
