Trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr, What You Need won easily at Geelong last spring before heading to the paddock and was brilliant in the 1100m three year-old handicap, bolting away to win by more than three lengths for Ben Melham.

“He went better than I thought he would and whatever he’s done here today, I believe there is improvement in him fitness wise,” said Mick Price, who revealed the $1million Group II ATC Arrowfield Sprint in Sydney is on April 8 is on the agenda..

He is a half-brother to Group III winner Runway Star and is the third winner from stakes-placed Commands mare Intuit, a daughter of Group I winner Wrap Around and half-sister to the dams of Champion 2YO Filly Fashions Afield and also this year’s Magic Millions 3YO Guineas winner Fashion Legend.

Intuit had a colt by Zousain last spring and was then covered by Portland Sky.
