Home Affairs Rewarded for Lightning Victory

In recent years, top class three year-olds have proven very competitive in the Group I VRC Lightning Stakes and last year outstanding colt Home Affairs put the seal of greatness on his career when downing Nature Strip to claim victory, so 12 months on we thought it might be timely to take a look at the mares he covered last spring.

Home Affairs retired to Coolmore and the dual Group I winning son of I Am Invincible was priced at $110,000 making him the most expensive first season sire by quite a margin.

He covered 202 mares, so obviously struck a chord with breeders and his book featured a dazzling array of Black Type winners and producers.

There were no fewer than 62 stakes-winning mares covered and the dams of some 37 stakes-winners and you can see them all listed below.
