$460,000 Ocean Park Colt an Early Classic Highlight

You could have been forgiven for thinking you were still at the sales in New Zealand when a colt by Cox Plate winning sire Ocean Park from Sacred Rhythm sold for $460,000 at Inglis Classic on Sunday and will race in the famous cerise and white colours of Bob and Sandra Peters.

Consigned by Lime Country Thoroughbreds on behalf of NZ vendor Jamieson Park, he is the second foal of stakes-winning Pentire (GB) mare Sacred Rhythm and was purchased by Damon Gabbedy of Belmont Bloodstock.

Gabbedy confirmed the colt was bought for Bob and Sandra Peters. 

Ocean Park has a great record in Australia leaving multiple Group I winners Tofane and Kolding among his stakes-winners not to mention progressive three year-old Kovalica.
