Three year-old Reliable Man (GB) gelding Roaring Engine was easy in the market, but stuck to his task to score a tenacious head win in the 1600m maiden.

A $175,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Westbury Stud draft for Danny O’Brien Racing, Roaring Engine is the sixth winner from Group I VRC Oaks winner Arapaho Miss and is a sibling  to $1.8 million earning Group I winner Miami Bound and stakes-winner De Little Engine.

“It was really pleasing for the owners as they have been patient with this horse,” said stable representative Jack Howard.

“He  runs in the Uluru Stud colours that have had an amazing association with Danny O’Brien with not just De Little Engine and Miami Bound so we are really stoked.

“Dare to dream this bloke could be on the path to something line that.”
