Golden Mile and Aft Cabin are two of the big gun  three year-old colts for Godolphin this season and both are bred the same way being by Astern from daughters of Lonhro. The nick has produced seven winners from eight runners with those two star colts the highlight horses.

Lot 78

Lot 78 from Kenmore Lodge is bred this way, an Astern colt from Lonhro mare Smitten. He is the first foal of his dam, who is a half-sister to Group III winner Astoria from the Antwerp / Diamond Lover branch of the Eight Carat family.

Karaka might be done and dusted, but Waikato Stud have got two Savabeel colts entered for Classic offered by Sledmere Stud as agent and they are bred on two of his best nicks.

One is from a daughter of Pins with grand-dam by O’Reilly and the other is bred the reverse way. Savabeel mixed with Pins and or O’Reilly has produced no fewer than 40 stakes-winners!

Lot 450

Lot 450 is a three-quarter brother-in-blood to Group II winner Savapinski  from Glistening.

Lot 464

Lot 464 is a three-quarter brother-in-blood to stakes-winner Exuberant from Happily and his third dam is a half-sister to blue hen Scandinavia.

Champion sire Written Tycoon has a great affinity with daughters of Flying Spur with 28 winners from 32 starters that equates to nearly 88% winners to runners and 15.6% SW to runner with five stakes-winners bred that way highlighted by Group I winner Booker.

Lot 574

Lot 574 from Arrowfield Stud is a Written Tycoon colt from placed Flying Spur mare Lures, a full sister to Group I winner Alverta and three-quarter sister to Group III winner Aerobatics. He looks exactly in type as you would expect from this mating.

Capitalist has done pretty well with daughters of Snitzel to produce three stakes-winners – Marine One, Cannonball and Profiteer- from 17 starters which is 17.6% SW to runner.

Lot 217 from Kingstar Farm looks a fast Capitalist filly being the second foal from metro winning Snitzel filly Zinzi, a daughter of Group I NZ Thousand Guineas winner Clean Sweep.

Another good fit for Capitalist has been Bel Esprit, whose daughters have produced three winners from four runners including stakes-winners Tycoon Humma and I’mlovin’ya.

Lot 71

Lot 71 from Newgate Farm is a grey Capitalist filly from Silver Spirit, a half-sister by Bel Esprit to Group I winners Light Fantastic and Leica Guv with promising three year-old filly Benedetta a star on the rise for this family.

Deep Field has shown a liking for daughters of Commands to produce three stakes-winners from 16 runners – Cosmic Force, Sky Command and Razeta-  at over 18% SW to runner.

Lot 711

Lot 771 is another from Kingstar Farm, a Deep Field half-brother to Group III winner Amercement from Group II placed Commands mare Forfeiture.

Vancouver and Pins enjoy100% success with four winners from four runners and two of those winners are Group II winning $1.4million earner Vangelic and stakes-winner Night Raid.

Lot 526

Lot 526 from Turangga Farm is a Vancouver colt from stakes-placed Pins mare Kukla, who has already produced a metro winner by Vancouver in Vankukla.

Star Turn has a good thing going with daughters of Testa Rossa which is hardly surprising given that both sires stand and stood at Vinery. The nick has produced nine winners from 11 runners headed by Inglis Nursery winner Saltaire.

Lot 479

Lot 479 from Burke Bloodstock is bred this way, a Star Turn colt from Holley Shiftwell, a placed half-sister by Testa Rossa to stakes-winner Smart Coupe from Group II winner Coupe.
