The familiar MVL brand of Middlebrook Valley Lodge is seen regularly in the winner’s circle at tracks all over the country making their Inglis Classic draft a must inspect for investors that like a proven record of success.

Pin-up boy Sejardan was a $160,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Middlebrook Valley Lodge draft for Gary Portelli and proved an instant success winning the Group III ATC Breeders Plate on debut.

He placed in last year’s Inglis Millennium and has posted multiple Group wins banking over $1.2million for connections.

“There are so many winners to have come off our farm it’s hard to keep track of them all,” said Verna Metcalf.

“Grahame Begg’s Mildred was a very smart filly we sold at Classic and Vegas Raider was a handy two year-old that won the Inglis Scone Challenge.

“Group winning sprinter Big Parade was another Classic horse, he’s won over $800,000 and another Deep Field that we raised at the farm, My Bella Mae, has been doing an amazing job in Perth.

“She’s won four out of five starts earning over $450,000 and is running in another stakes race this Saturday.

“We’ve been following the rise of Proisir in New Zealand with interest as he and his Caulfield Guineas winning brother Divine Prophet were both foaled and raised with us. Proisir is showing all the signs of being the next big sire over there which is very satisfying.”

Middlebrook Valley Lodge are offering 17 yearlings for Inglis Classic with highlights below:

Lot 197 Colt Cosmic Force x Weston Super Mare, by Redoute’s Choice

From the first crop of Deep Field’s brilliant Group II winning son Cosmic Force. He is the first foal of a placed three-quarter sister to stakes-placed Mr Cha Cha from Group III winner Molly Dot Com.

“The Cosmic Force yearlings have been really well received and particularly his colts,” said Verna Metcalf.

“This colt is bred on a very promising nick as Cosmic Force is by Deep Field, who has had 11 colts to race from mares by Redoute’s Choice and all have won headed by his dual Group I winner Al Muthana.”

Lot 282 Filly Capitalist x Black Champagne, by Denman

First foal of a juvenile winning full sister to stakes-placed juvenile Piacenza and daughter of another stakes-placed juvenile in Pachanga. Pedigree is packed with speed influences and she has the colouring of Denman and the precocity and power of Capitalist.

Lot 443 Colt Capitalist x Ghalia’s Dream, by Smart Missile

Three-quarter brother-in-blood to last season’s Group III winning 2YO Sebonack, who was fourth in the Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes. He is the second foal of a sibling to Group winners Melagrana and Santos, now a promising young sire, who just posted his first stakes-winner.

Lot 575 Colt I Am Invincible x Luskintyre Lass, by Snitzel

One of only four colts in the sale by champion sire I Am Invincible and is the second foal of Group III placed Luskintyre Lass. Bred on the same cross as juvenile stakes-winner Supreme Idea and exciting undefeated filly Dancing Alone.

Lot 685 Filly Deep Field x Priestess, by Exceed and Excel

Second foal of a metro winning half-sister to Group I winner Divine Prophet and Group I placed Group III winner Proisir. Bred on successful Deep Field x Exceed and Excel nick that has produced over 83% winners to runners headed by Group III and Magic Millions 3YO Classic winner Fashion Legend.
