Early final field betting picture for the Thousand Guineas

Brad Waters - Tuesday October 10

Godolphin three-year-old Alizee is a short-priced favourite to be the second filly in successive years to complete the Flight Stakes and Thousand Guineas double.

Global Glamour achieved the double with a week between runs last year but Alizee has had a fortnight to get ready for her first Melbourne test in the Thousand Guineas.

Alizee had a look at Caulfield on Tuesday morning, pleasing trainer James Cummings with her hit-out on the course proper.

Alizee is as short as $2.15 to win the Thousand Guineas while the local duo Shoals and Booker are the next best in the early final field market.

Shoals is trading at prices between $4.40 and $5 while bookies have Booker at quotes ranging from $5 to $6.50.
