Offered by Carlaw Park, the Deep Field colt from Waruna was snapped up by Jamie Richards Racing / Andrew Williams Bloodstock and will be headed to Hong Kong, which has proven to be a happy hunting ground for the progeny of his sire.

The colt was sourced from the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale for $150,000 and he was bred and sold by Kia Ora Stud. He is the second foal of metro winning All Too Hard mare Waruna, a half-sister to Group II winner Positive Peace. Waruna did not have a foal last year, but was one of the first mares covered by Kia Ora Stud’s young sire Prague last spring.

Carlaw Park got another big result with their Written By filly from Financial District that sold for $240,000 to Mick Wallace / Stephen Marsh Racing / Dylan Johnson / Bourbon Lane / Gandharvi.

She was bred by Rheinwood ad they have a colt to follow by North Pacific from Financial District, who is a half-sister to Group III winner Miss Darcey from stakes-winner Miss Bussell.

Carlaw Park had three of the four best pinhooks and this Churchill (IRE) colt from Heat of the Fire sold for $220,000 to Hong Kong buyer Bryan Kwan.
