Final field and barrier draw for Saturday's Thousand Guineas

A competitive field of eight fillies will contest Saturday's Group I Thousand Guineas (1600m) at Caulfield.

The Anthony Freedman-trained Shoals will carry the number one saddlecloth in the $500,000 race and will jump from barrier four with Mark Zahra aboard.

Premier Victorian trainer Darren Weir will back up promising filly Leather'n'lace in the Thousand Guineas after her third placing in the Group II Edward Manifold Stakes (1600m) at Flemington last Saturday. Leather'n'lace has drawn barrier seven.

Thousand Guineas Prelude winner Booker will start from the outside gate.
