Flemington trackwork October 10

Darryl Sherer - Tuesday October 10

Group I horses in action at Flemington on Tuesday ahead of feature races at the weekend and members of the Godolphin team were looking sharp.

Hartnell prepped for his assignment in the Caulfield Stakes with a course proper gallop in company as did Caulfield Guineas contender Kementari.

It is always hard to get an accurate time on course proper gallops with the finish line obscured but all the horses to use it impressed.

Encryption is nominated to debut in the Debutant Stakes for two-year-olds and the son of Guelph more than held his own with the older Bandipur, a last start winner at Caulfield, on the steeple grass.

Markers on the steeple grass were out three metres, riders reporting the ground riding in the good(4) range, the course proper horses on the outside.

Racenet has compiled a list of times below with an analysis of the work to assist punters.

Hartnell & It's Somewhat

1200m (Course proper) 1:22.91

23.49

Unhurried early, Hartnell sat off It's Somewhat to the turn where it got serious, Hartnell joining in and then the pair sharp through the line. Hartnell nominated for the Caulfield Stakes.

Kementari

1200m (Course proper) 1:19.31

23.47

Went with an older mate and strong from the off, building before the turn and powering through the line under Damian Lane. Accepted for the Caulfield Guineas.

Lizzle L'Amour

1400m (Steeple grass) 1:43.89

25.83

One of the first on the track. Controlled from the off and didn't appear to be out to run any time. Did this easily and under a hold through the line. Nominated for the Caulfield Stakes.

Bonneval & Jon Snow

1400m (Pro-Ride) 1:33.39

24.03

Strong from the off, Jon Snow just leading and staying there to the turn where Bonneval gradually joined in, together through the line and the last 100m the best part of the work. Both nominated for the Caulfield Stakes.

Summer Passage

1000m (Dirt) 1:04.63

24.64

Strong early before settling into a rhythm. Quickened up under his own steam and keen to go faster late. Accepted for the Caulfield Guineas.

1200m (Steeple grass) 1:18.12

23.77

Radipole led to the turn where Rhythm To Spare came to join in. Together over the last 100m and sharp late, both on the bridle. Rhythm To Spare nominated for the Toorak Handicap.

Japonisme

1000m (Steeple grass, right handed) 1:06.12

23.96

On his own and a consistent rhythm from the off. Strong last 100m without any encouragement and through the line on the bridle. Nominated for the Sydney Stakes at Randwick.

Bandipur & Encryption

800m (Steeple grass) 52.67

24.53

Short and sharp, together from the off, Encryption on the outside of the older horse. Both always on the bridle and strong through the line, not allowed to go any faster. Encryption nominated for the Debutant Stakes.

Foxplay

1200m (Course proper) 1:19.93

23.38

Steady early before building gradually and strong late while still under a good hold and keen to go faster. Looked lovely and relaxed.

Silvera

24.09

Little bit casual early but built passing the 600m and powered through the line under a hold. Just keeps improving.

25.67

Relaxed and settled into a rhythm. Strong off the bend and through the line under a hold. Nominated for Ballarat on Thursday.
