The Instructor won his only previous trial at Randwick in early December and was sent out a shrot priced favourite for the 1000m maiden with Jordan Childs to ride.

He led for home and powered clear to win by three lengths in a dominant display.

“I was positive on him from the gates to get him out and running, but once we found the rail he came back and relaxed nicely and when I asked him for an effort from the 300m he kept finding the line,” said Childs.

“He’s got plenty of improvement there and is a nice horse going forward.”

The Instructor is the third juvenile winners this season for Russian Revolution, who is also the sire of stakes-placed two year-olds Perfect Proposal and Physical Graffiti.
