Another $1.6Million I Am Invincible Colt Sold by Emirates Park

Tara Madgwick - Thursday January 12

Emirates Park sold their second million dollar yearling at Magic Millions when their I Am invincible colt from blue-blood Fastnet Rock mare Tumooh sold for $1.6million to the James Harron Colts Partnership.

$1.6million I Am Invincible colt from Tumooh.

He is the first foal Tumooh, an unraced half-sister to Group III winner Dajraan and daughter of Golden Slipper winner Mossfun, whose I Am Invincible colt made $1.65 million for Emirates Park on the first day of the sale.

James Harron was quick to praise Emirates Park and their long record of success.

“It’s been a fantastic farm for a long time and they breed a fantastic horse, they’ve got fantastic stock and they do a great job,” Harron said.

“It gives you good confidence when you’re on these sort of horses that that work has been done at home.”

The James Harron Colts Partnership have bought three colts so far at this sale and this one is the most expensive.

“We’re delighted to get him. He’s the horse that when we first saw him here we just really wanted to get him,” Harron explained.

“He was, on type, our number one seed, so it’s a nice relief to get him in the green and gold for the following season.

“He just had an amazing physique. He had a lot of presence about him, he came out of the box and he really walked really well.

“He had a great, purposeful action and he just had that air of Alpha Male, that strength, that imposing attribute which you see in good stallions.

“There’s a lot of water to go under the bridge, but just couldn’t say better things about him as a type and his attitude.”

Tumooh was bred and retained by Emirates Park and is the first foal from Mossfun born back in Australia after she started her stud career in Europe.

She had a Capitalist colt last year and like her mother Mossfun was covered by Tassort last spring.

Mossfun was an $85,000 Inglis Easter Session 2 purchase for Emirates Park.

Mossfun was well found by Emirates Park, plucked from the second session of Inglis Easter in 2013 for just $85,000 from the Fairview Park draft and this bargain buy has certainly played a pivotal role for Emirates Park with the progress of this family going to be well worth following.

One look at her yearling picture is interesting and it shows just how much this remarkable mare has put into both her $1.65million son and $1.6million grand-son!
