$850,000 Zoustar Colt for James Harron

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday January 11

It’s been a big day at the sales for Zoustar and Lime Country Thoroughbreds were in the spotlight when their colt from Ravenous Lass sold for $850,000 to James Harron for his colts partnership.

$850,000 Zoustar colt from Ravenous Lass.

A full brother to Group III winning mare Zoushine, the colt was bred by Lime Country in partnership and is the fourth foal of speedy metro winning Stratum mare Ravenous Lass, a half-sister to Group II winner San Nicasio.

“He’s a horse that really did well through the week. I love to see the horses that progressed and put on weight and really get into their job and he’s a horse that did that,”said James Harron.

“Every time we saw him he just kept lifting the bar.

“He had a great sharp head, is a very intelligent horse with good movement.

“It’s a competitive space and we’ve refined down a small list from a lot of horses, so you’ve got to be strong on the ones you are keen on and we’re pleased to get him.”

Jo Griffin of Lime Country Thoroughbreds was thrilled with the result and delighted to see her star colt joining the James Harron colts partnership group.

Ravenous Lass produced a colt by Flying Artie last spring and was then covered by Captivant.
