$800,000 for First Foal Champion 3YO Filly Loving Gaby

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday January 10

Pierro’s Group I winning $5.8million earning son Pierata covered some terrific mares in his first season at Aquis Stud, but none better than Loving Gaby and her first foal lit up the Gold Coast sale ring at Magic Millions on Tuesday.

Consigned for sale by Segenhoe, the beautiful bay filly was much admired and sparked keen bidding before Ciaron Maher won the day with a final bid of $800,000.

Maher trained the Phoenix Thoroughbred owned Loving Gaby throughout her career and the daughter of I Am Invincible was fourth in the Golden Slipper before placing in both the Group I ATC Sires Produce and Champagne Stake and then trained on to be even better at three.

The Champion 3YO Filly of her generation, she won the Group I MVRC Manikato Stakes and William Reid Stakes against the older sprinters and was also placed in the Newmarket Handicap, Sprint Classic and Lightning Stakes at Flemington.

Loving Gaby has a Snitzel filly to follow and was covered last spring by Aquis first time shuttler Aclaim (IRE).

Pierata gets a big sale ring result with the Loving Gaby filly selling for $800,000.

Pierata stands at Aquis in Queensland and has 32 yearlings catalogued for Magic Millions Book 1 and 2.
