Blue Point (IRE)

Bought from the Tattersalls October Book I Yearling Sale for 200,000 guineas, Blue Point raced for Godolphin and was an exceptional performer from age two until age five winning 11 of 20 starts and placing a further six times with four G1 sprint victories on his resume.

Blue Point raced six times at two, winning on debut and then winning by 11 lengths at Doncaster before landing the Group II Gimcrack Stakes (1200m) at York and placing the Group I Middle Park Stakes and Dewhurst Stakes.

At four, he won his first Group I in the King’s Stand Stakes (1000m) and at five he won three more G1 sprints taking the King’s Stand Stakes for a second time before backing up to win the Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) with a win in the Al Quoz Stakes (1200m)at Meydan the icing on the cake.

Blue Point was the consummate sprinter competing successfully from age two to five.

On the pedigree front, he is the fastest son of outstanding sire and proven sire of sires Shamardal and is from a European speed family.

He has 21 yearlings catalogued in Books 1 and 2 with images below.
