Magic Millions First Season Sires – Microphone

Tara Madgwick - Sunday January 8

Breednet’s popular First Season Sire Gallery pages are now created offering a fast and easy way to compare yearlings by the new wave of sires on type, so this time let’s take a look at the Champion 2YO Colt of his generation Microphone.

Microphone

A homebred for Godolphin by their champion sire Exceed and Excel, Microphone was fast and precocious retiring to Darley with the consistent record of five wins and five placings from 11 starts with $1.9million in prizemoney.

A debut winner at Flemington over 1000m in January, Microphone started five more times at two never finishing worse than second.

He won the Group II ATC Skyline Stakes (1200m) beating Cosmic Force and Castelvecchio, was second to his stablemate Kiamichi in the Golden Slipper and then beat Loving Gaby to win the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes (1400m)
