Biggest individual Inglis Digital January catalogue to launch 2023

Media Release - Friday January 6

The first Inglis Digital Online Sale of 2023 has opened for bidding, with the 356-strong catalogue highlighted by a pair of black type race fillies and a 2.5% share in a Stakes-winning Blue Diamond contender.

The exciting 2YO colt Krakarib is a last start winner of the G3 Maribyrnong Plate on Melbourne Cup day, leading throughout to defeat subsequent Stakes winner Little Brose.

Krakarib in work with Simon Zahra at Flemington ahead of his next start in the $200,000 Listed Blue Diamond Preview on January 26 and then the $2 million G1 Blue Diamond at Caulfield on February 25.

The January (Early) Online Sale has attracted an incredible 256 racehorses and race fillies in the largest individual January catalogue in Inglis Digital’s history.

It presents plenty of opportunities for buyers, considering 3414 races were won by Inglis Digital graduates in 2022 for almost $50 million in prizemoney, while one in five Australian races have been won Inglis Digital graduates so far this season.

In the race fillies category is triple Stakes placegetter Costume Party, by WA-based Tapit stallion A Lot.

The 3YO filly was a pre-Christmas winning 2YO and was placed behind subsequent G1 JJ Atkins Plate winner Sheeza Belter, as well as three placings at Stakes level in her first preparation, including a 2nd in the G3 Gimcrack Stakes to recent G1 Northerly Stakes winner Amelia’s Jewel. G2 placed Silverina is another entry of significance in the January (Early) catalogue.

A 4YO daughter of G1 stallion Contributer, Silverina has only raced eight times, winning twice in impressive fashion and placing in three other outings, including on her most recent start when third in the G2 Cal Isuzu Stakes (1600m) at Te Rapa on December 10.
