Alabama Express

A $280,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Arrowfield Stud draft, Alabama Express retired as a Group I winner with four wins from eight starts and earnings of $554,750.

Alabama Express won his only start at two over 1100m and then blossomed at three to win the Listed VRC Gothic Stakes (1400m) in the spring before returning in the autumn to soar to a new level.

He won the Group I MRC CF Orr Stakes (1400m) at WFA against a field packed with Group I winning imports beating Fierce Impact, Kings Will Dream, Fifty Stars and Avilius and was retired to Yulong after just one more start.

Alabama Express was a G1 WFA winner at 1400m.

On the pedigree front, he combines the blood of champion sires Redoute’s Choice and Encosta de Lago and is from a half-sister to Everest hero Giga Kick.

He has 17 yearlings catalogued in Books 1 and 2 with images below.
