Magic Millions Updated Order of Entry

The Magic Millions race day on January 14 is rapidly approaching and over the Christmas period there have been some movers and shakers on the order of entry for the feature races.

The two big movers on the 2YO list were Fire Lane (Hellbent) and The Novelist (Written By).

Fire Lane came out on top in a hot 2YO race at Randwick on Christmas Eve downing three previously unbeaten stakes-winners - Platinum Jubilee, Empire of Japan and Godfather, read about her here.

The Novelist stepped up from a facile wide margin debut win at Kembla to win the Group III BRC BJ McLachlan Stakes, a race that has often been a good guide to the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, read about him here.

Lee Freedman puts the polish on progressive gelding Soothsayer (Divine Prophet), who has now won his past three starts including wins at Doomben and Eagle Farm and has the  tidy overall record of five wins from 10 starts with prizemoney topping $328,000.

He’s moved himself into the Top 10 for the 3YO Guineas so is assured of a start.
