2022 Breednet Favourite Foal Winner!

Tara Madgwick - Friday December 23

It was a close battle to be voted this year’s Breednet Favourite Foal and the winning image was taken at Holbrook Thoroughbreds by respected photographer Joan Faras.

2022 Breednet Favourite Foal of the Year!

Joan is a great supporter of Breednet and sends in so many wonderful images each year and this year her picture of the Dundeel  colt from French Skyline got the nod from our audience.

Bred by Cathy Hains of Burnewang North in Victoria, the eye-catching bay is the second living foal of French Skyline, a well related winning Manhattan Rain mare that is a three-quarter sister to the dam of Group I winner Hasahalo and Group winners Hasabro, All Saint’s Eve and All Hallows’ Eve

“A big thanks goes to Joan Faras for the time and the effort she puts in to getting these stunning photos and highlights the quality of the foals with her photography,” said Holbrook Thoroughbreds’ Julie Harris

“We are lucky to have great clients like Burnewang North that entrust their mares in our care for the breeding season. The Dundeel colt has continued to improve and is one of the standout foals on the farm!”

We thank everyone for their interest and support and look forward to another outstanding crop of foals in 2023.
