First Winner for Encryption

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday December 20

Eureka Stud’s promising young Lonhro sire Encryption is on the board with his first winner after Floral Code bolted in to win by four lengths on debut.

A short priced favourite for the 1000m juvenile maiden at Townsville, Floral Code won like the good thing he was expected to be, leading for home and kicking clear to win as he pleased.

Trained by Sarah Acornley, Floral Code was a $12,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale purchase from the Gleeson Thoroughbreds draft.

Floral Code is the first winner for Poppy Darling, a winning half-sister by Pluck (USA) to stakes-winner Notonyourlife and a grand-daughter of Group I winning sprinter Ruffles.

Encryption has had two previous place-getters including stakes-placed Cifrado, who was second to boom colt Godfather in the Listed BRC Phelan Ready Stakes.

A Group II winning son of Lonhro, Encryption has eight entries for Magic Millions Books 1 and 2.
